As those in UK may have noticed it’s sort of cold out there, with most of the country covered in a blanket of snow. We have ventured out in it a couple of times which has given me a chance to practice with my camera.
Here is one of the first photos I took…..they were not so good! Even the adjustments I could do on the computer couldn’t do much to save them.
I had a look back over the books about photography that I got out of the library. It’s really hard to get a good picture of the kids anyway as they are always moving round so fast but it makes it even harder in the snow as it is actually very cloudy so not much light but the camera thinks it is light because of all the bright snow.
The rest of these photos I took in manual mode so I could change all the settings myself – these are the settings I used: f-stop: f/3.2, exposure: 1/800s, ISO: 400, No flash.
What do you think? I am so happy with them, such a memorable day, so nice that the kids have got to play in the snow!
