Distant – #amonthof creative moments

Life seems to be racing by these days, if anyone ever asks me what I really want my answer is always ‘more time’. More time to spend on crafting, more time to spend baking, more time to just relax with the kids, more time to relax with my husband, more time with the rest of my family, more time to spend with friends.

It is this lack of time that means that those friends and family who live far away seem to miss out on my time and I wish so much that I could just sit down for a cuppa with them and have a good old chat, or spend some time playing with all our kids, or go out for a morning shopping, or spend an evening doing girly things.

This post is for those that are distant in space but so near to me in my heart, especially my sister, this blessing is for all of you.

TRADITIONAL IRISH BLESSING

May the road rise to meet you,

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

The rains fall soft upon your fields.

And until we meet again,

May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

May God be with you and bless you;

May you see your children’s children.

May you be poor in misfortune,

Rich in blessings,

May you know nothing but happiness,

From this day forward.

May the road rise to meet you,

May the wind be always at your back,

May the warm rays of sun fall upon your home,

And may the hand of a friend always be near.

May green be the grass you walk on,

May blue be the skies above you,

May pure be the joys that surround you,

May true be the hearts that love you.
