Quick – #amonthof creative moments

Do you ever have any left over pastry? This is a really quick recipe to use it up!

Savory Pastry Swirls

  • Left over pastry – puff pastry is the best but any will work.
  • Fillings – ‘traditional’ – Marmite; ‘pizza’ – cheese, tomato puree and ham, onion chutney and goats cheese or any prefered combination.

Roll out your pastry until it is about 3mm thick.

Spread a very thin layer of your chosen filling over the flat pastry.

Roll up the pastry into a long thin roll.

Use a sharp knife to cut into 1-2cm slices and place onto a baking tray covered in grease proof paper.

Bake in an oven Gas 6/200C for about 15 minutes until golden brown and bubbling slightly.

Enjoy warm or cold.
